zukunft.bahnhof

Lichtensteig, CH

From 27/04/2024 to 06/07/2024

Behind the zukunft.bahnhof project is the foundation of the same name “Stiftung zukunft.bahnhof“, which has created a visionary and inspiring model for a regenerative, sustainable society and social change on an almost 5,000 m2 site around the Lichtensteig railroad station in the canton of St. Gallen in 2023.

What an ideal place to visit the exhibition Walk through time…, as its inspiring and hopeful narrative of the earth’s evolutionary history is a fitting complement to the innovative site development and the associated civic, cooperative, housing and cultural projects.

Testimonials

Jan Colruyt, initiator of zukunft.bahnhof:

Our planet urgently needs new ways of thinking and new approaches for living, working and living together.

Showing the exhibition here in Lichtensteig was a great addition to the Macher-Städtli. With the zukunft.bahnhof foundation, we are shaping the future locally while exploring the question of “how we want to live in the future” with a bottom-up approach. We are creating a place where civil society exemplifies a planet-friendly model that serves as a socio-political and economic-ecological role model.

The exhibition “Walk through time…” encourages us to reflect on our origins as humankind in an integral way. Science and spirituality come together, especially when you experience H.R. Zulliger’s explanations. The exhibition is challenging and yet we have received a lot of positive feedback. It was a great enrichment and invited many people to get to know some places in town in a different way and to think more deeply about the essential questions of life. Many thanks to the Foundation Third Millennium, which made this success possible in an unbureaucratic way.
